This Blog contains box openings and reviews carried out by fixed1t for my own technology projects or interests. I am not paid to carry out reviews and the slow pace is to enable watchers to follow the videos and make up their own minds. Links to the featured products tend to be ones I've used or found myself and in many cases for products I have purchased myself to use. #fixed1tTECHreviews

How To Quickly Stop Shaving Cut, Bleeding And Discomfort
If your in a hurry or briefly distracted its really easy to cut yourself deeply and painfully with a shaving razor. What makes it worse is they bleed a lot, they are painful, and the blood goes everywhere. You often have to stick bits of paper on the cut or allow it to scab up messily over time. This video presents a really clean and efficient solution to the problem #fixed1ttip

Identifying And Fixing A Dyson DC39 Loss Of Suction Problem
Just as I'd stop complaining about the DC39 after discovering I could empty it with my emptying tool, I discovered that have great suction and tight corners in pipes doesn't quite work.
For weeks I've been getting less and less suction for no obvious reason, and then it started a hi pitched whine or whistle like it was a heavy chain smoker on a cold damp morning.
Then I found the solution and now it works like new.

Karcher Window Vacuum Cleaner WV50 Real Life Test
I finished Karcher Window Vacuum Cleaner WV50 VAC'ing the rest of the insides of the windows, patio doors and glass doors and here are the results:
1) Its a remarkably fast process and really easy learn and master.
2) Doing all of the windows with the WV50 merely generated just over a centimetre of dirty water in the container.
The best technique is:
i) Wet and gently scrub the window with a none abrasive Soft Cloth
ii) Start from the bottom of the window and stroke upwards
iii) Once you get to just below the centre of the window turn the WV50 upright and begin stroking down the window and come down to 10 below the dirty water line from the upward sweet.
iv) Don't let the glass dry out , instead quickly wipe off any residence from the window with clean micro fibre cloth.
Using this method I was able to wash, wipe and polish each window in a few minutes.
I thoroughly recommend the Karcher Window Vacuum Cleaner WV50

Do iPad Protective Cases Really Protect? How About Throwing An iPad Off A 30ft Roof
Despite people relying heavily on technology, and investing substantial money per family unit in Apple iPad's and Android tablets most are sticking it flimsy flip cases, imagining that they offer protection in everyday situations, in reality they don't.
Which is good for people like me 'fixed1t' as I get to earn money from repairing them, but not for family units in these cash strapped times.
Now to a certain level, you get what you pay for, titanium case with innards floating in an intelligent shock absorbing gel, is great for the SciFi movies, but in reality people what something to help out if it is:
And thought HaHa that seems pretty crazy (but wouldn't I like to try it, if you could afford it)?
Although both iPads were damaged one was still flashing whilst the other was destroyed. Now I don't advocate doing this and for me personally a 30FT fall off a building is unlikely in most instances unless your watching a YouTube video on how to SAFELY install a roof top aerial, whilst balanced on a ladder 30ft up in a Gale.
But what I got from the videos was that OTTERBOX have some cool and pretty robust cases in the defender range and if you need a case then you should be able to get one from eBay at a range of prices.
Check Out Otterbox Defender Cases On eBay
or on Amazon UK
I'm certainly going to be using one.
Of course if you do happen to break the device I'll be happy to fixed1t it ;-)
If you a Nexus 7 user, they do a version of the Nexus 7, and if you damage it then you may want to consider having a go at repairing it, and the links are on my:

KLYP IT OR MISS IT iPhone 4 and 4s Camera Case, Stand & LED Lights fixed1t Review
After trying various iPhone camera Tripod Holders and Lights, I came across this excellent KLYP IT OR MISS IT package for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.
This is a really comprehensive package, its well packed and come with a rang of attachment which make it usable with the iPhone 4 and 4s and any other Camera or video system.
The Tiny metal tripod fits nicely into the pocket when taking a standard camera out and about for taking impromptu selfies. The full adjustable 24 led light source and associated Hot Shoe connector make it a useful LED Light for other situation such as Skype or facetime.
I've created a box opening video on my fixed1t youtube at:
